After six years of racing karts Martyn has decided to call it a day on his karting career.

Martyn had a very successful 2007 season in formula TKM, being in with a chance of the British Championships up until the penultimate round where a non-start and a non-finish ruined his chances and of course winning the Motors TV UK Karting Challenge.  With signs that the TKM grids were reducing for 2008 he moved into the Rotax Max class.

 Scottish Cadet Adam Mackay had an accident the other week at Rowrah.

Fortunately Adam will be OK although he did suffer a fracture in his wrist - later MRI scan showed it wasn't too bad  

Dad  Iain said "He was really shaken up but mentally he is up for getting back in the seat.. Unfortunately the plaster cast that now covers his hand fracture may hamper things slightly!!"

He also scratched his new helmet so we will be making sure that it's safe and repairing the paintwork if possible.  Adam is certainly showing promise  - we suspect it's down to his choice of  helmet painter - along with Scotland's top cadet at the moment David McNicol.
