Another issue Martyn needs to look at for his motorsport race debut at Knockhill. It's an expensive move from karts to cars. Martyn needed to sit an ARDS test (around £300), then he needed to get his licence (another £49) - even though he already had a Kart National A licence - not really encouragement from the MSA is it?
On top of that his kart suits are not suitable for cars and his helmet is also not suitable. If Martyn likes cars and does well - and we can get some money together he will get a new suit and helmet (Arai only as far as he is concerned) maybe at the Autosport show where we should be able to get a "deal"
For the race meeting ahead though he will need to get some kit so Martyn is on the lookout for a loan of a race-suit. Aly Hunter has a helmet if Martyn is stuck and Martyn's still has his original Sparco helmet which will comply although a little worn now.
