Martyn has applied to the Scottish Motor Racing Club (SMRC) to be considered for a 2009 Legends Scholarship place. This initiative is being funded by SMRC, Legends Racing and Knockhill Circuit for the third year running. Martyn will still need to find the money to pay for his contribution and he will also need money for a race suit and helmet (his karting helmet isn't suitable for motorsport), as well as entries.
Hopefully he will hear about this in the next few weeks.
If he is not successful then he will need to see what money he can pull together to race somehow.
What is it? It is the offer of financial assistance, for two scholars, towards the hire cost of the first three rounds (each round comprising qualifying and 3 races) of the SMRC’s 2009 Scottish Legends Cars Championship (which will consist of between 10 and 11 rounds).

Martyn is now home in Scotland
He flew out from Sydney on Wednesday and spent a day and night in Korea.
Martyn emailed to say "The airline gave me a 5 star luxury room! The place is huge. I have a huge room with tvs everywhere and my own bar and office etc. Theres a gym,, business centre, nightclub, casino the lot in here!
This is the hotel they put him into http://www.hyattregencyincheon.co.kr/
The final leg of his journey took 11 hours from Korea to Heathrow and he was back in London 4:30pm on Friday 6th where he picked up a flight to Glasgow (Edinburgh flights were cancelled because of the bad weather.
So while Sidney is at risk from Bush fires because of the extreme heat Martyn is adjusting back to the Scottish winter - and sure enough it was snowing the night he arrived home.
