Jae Coward is having his second helmet custom painted.  He now has a superb Arai SK-5 which we will individualise for him.  the design has been done by another MLM paint (multi) customer - Phil Smith

Jake's Design Jake wants this graphic on the back!!!
Helmet as received  Helmet all stripped and rubbed down ready for basecoating
base-coat black - ready to start Then a coat of pearl black - next we will lay out the design
start of the design layout - ready for the silver silver sprayed on
marking removed - some highlights and shading and a coating of cosmic sparkle to give a nice effect in the light than remove the masking ready for more layout
the rest of the design layout masked off ready for more silver
silver sprayed on now the silver area is masked over ready for the next stage
the remaining areas are painted white as a base for the fluorescent orange and the areas that are to remain white are sprayed pearl white then the areas to remain white are masked off
the fluorescent hot orange is sprayed on and then the checquers are masked off the fluorescent red is faded on from the back and the "checquers are given a dusting of cosmic sparkle
 masling removed - some shading was also airbrushed under the flames at the chin  masked off ready to spray the flames areaon the chin
 flames sprayed fluorescent yellow with fluorescent orange faded at the bottom and tips  masking removed to show overall effect
 masking removed to show overall effect  draw out the design for the "masked skull"
graphic painted masked skull finished - ready for lacquer
a few coats of clear 2K lacquer to protect it all so far  rub the lacquer down flat
Jake's name is airbrushed on plus a little shading some shading around the "masked skull" to help it stand out
Then paint the vents and the spoiler before giving everything more coats of 2K clear lacquer  rubbed down again and yet more clear lacquer - really deep shine now - ready for rebuild
