first it's rubbed down and base-coated - here shown with Ian Ashworth's helmet Masking out the design Masking out the design
After masking out the design - on goes some fluorescent orange basecoat of metallic white (looks like silver) will later be covered with a transluscent Candy blue - so the sparkle shines through basecoat of metallic white (looks like silver) will later be covered with a transluscent Candy blue - so the sparkle shines through
add the fluorescent yellow stripes add the fluorescent yellow stripes a bit of lacquer to protect it before adding the candy blue
masked off ready for the candy blue fancy design (M) on the top here it is with paint and laquer - before removing the msking tape and rubbinmg down.
this is why he got a new lid!!!!! maybe add some more stuff later - heading off for Kim tomorrow night - helmet will be used in anger then - see report. can you make out the (M)?
redone the top and added a bit detail on the orange
